Hi everyone,

We are using Buddypress with BBpress.
I’m currently trying to assign group-ids of group-forums to child forums. Basically because I have different sidebar-widgets showing up for different groups, so the child forum needs the parent group-id in order to display correctly. I looked around a bit, but I couldn’t find any solution that worked for me.

I can get the parent-forum-ID with $post->post_parent (if there is a better solution, please let me know). So is it possible to get the group-id of a forums group I have its forum-id?
