BuddyPress.org

I am currently creating a social network on Buddypress but there are a few things I’d like to add that currently can’t be done via Buddypress plugins. For example I would like to add an article directory. The problem is though that this would mean that users would need to sign up for two seperate accounts. Considering there are another two or three portions like this I’d like to add this would equal five seperate log-ins which is too much to expect users to sign-up to.

Is there anyway to get Buddypress to run alongside all these other plugin add-ons using one global log-in? It’s not much help that I know nothing about PHP so if there is a way to do this please could you explain it to me as simply as possible.
