Gravatars … “Resource interpreted as image but transferred with MIME type text/html”

All Gravatars, including ‘mystery man’ come with an error:

“Resource interpreted as image but transferred with MIME type text/html”

Anyone else getting this? Is there a fix?

… and why on earth are we still using those appalling geometric images!?!?!? They are *so* un-Wordpress or even un-Buddypress.

@nonegiven; Where are you seeing this error, just out of interest..? Have to agree on the appalling geometric images. I don’t even use them as a fall-back.

Everywhere … index.php onwards. They relate to the avatars.

They are not printed but if you put your browser into debug mode they come up every time and every page. Do not now if it is important or not.

They are all gravatar icons without proper suffices, e.g. .jpg

So there seems to be an underlying error, but browsers happily ignore it..? Doesn’t sound good, really, so hopefully @johnjamesjacoby or another developer can take a look at it.
