I’m running BP 1.5.5, theme bp Corporate 1.4.4, WP version 3.3.2, with multiple sites on the network. Host is bluehost, install is in a subdirectory.

Since upgrading to BP1.5.5 my group forums show all the posts with the oldest post first. (Activity stream is still newest first, thank goodness). I would like the forums to show the newest posts first, like they used to. Is this a known problem?

Yes, I DO have other plugins running and can provide a list if you need it. I can also provide the other 15+ pieces of info you ask for, but first wanted to know if this was a known issue and if it’s likely to have a simple fix.

(I do have one error showing up in my error log, in case that helps:

We didn’t change anything to do with forums in 1.5.5.

Ok, thanks for responding.

But the fact is my forums now display oldest-first AND the excerpts in the Activity stream no longer have any way to link directly to them (instead you have to click on the forum name and scroll through, searching for the post you were interested in).

This is not how the forums worked last year. Do you have any hints about where I might look for a fix?

Ack. Something pre-1.5… (Sorry, I haven’t used the site much since last August. Will try to track down the info)

Is it my imagination? Did the forums always display this way? Is there any way to change it?

I don’t know. I was going to have a quick read of all the releases changelogs to see if there was anything super-obvious.
