Group Friend invite

    i have a strange issue. i am not able to invite some friends into a group. if i want to do it, the field for the friends is completly empty.

    things i’ve done: (all with the same origin database-copy)
    * ‘i have created a copy from the site / database and started the standard theme – nothing happend
    * reinstalled buddypress plugin
    * reinstalled wordpress + buddypress
    * deactivated all the other plugins

    so it has to be something wrong in my database. how do i check it? if i do a complete reinstall it would be fine, but i dont like to reimport all the users and group messages..

    any ideas?

    What do you mean by ‘the field for the friends is completely empty’ — can you upload a screenshot somewhere?

    Thanks. Are the users you are expecting to see your friends? Remember both you and them need to approve the friendship request. If they’ve already got an invite to the group, then those users won’t be shown, either.

    Maybe test on a new group.

    Thanks for reply. I’ve found my error! I habe made a big mistake. I deleted the wp_bp_xprofile_fields id=1 (name) …

    i created a new tab for the profile, switched the name field to the new tab and then deleted the new tab (forget to pull the name-field out^^) …. no its working correctly. thanks for your help!
