group locations

Hi all,
I’m looking for a way to add a simple field in the buddypress group creation pages, that simply allows the user to add the groups location from a dropdown menu. This would then show on the group, be clickable as a tag that takes the user to all groups in this category.
Has anyone developed something like this?
