This could be a really silly question but if I am using BuddyPress and BPPress am I only allowed to have forums inside of groups?

I’d like to configure the site so I can have Groups, Forums inside those groups AND a Forum. This way group content can center around things people identify with, sports, professional interests, favorite foods etc and the Forum can serve the purpose of a general discussion board for specific relevant topics.

For example, my site is for long haul truck drivers. They frequently talk about their employers. If they have a review they want to give I don’t want them to have to join a group to do it. I’d like a Forum where general topics can be discussed without having to join a group.

How can I accomplish this?

In wp-admin, Click Forums then New Forum
