Groups Changed Into Topics PO

For everybody else who has been crossing their fingers for the option to run forums outside the evil grips of groups, this is a little work around. I just changed all the instances of “groups” to “topics” and am going to treat them like forum topics.

That folder has the PO the MO and “Plugin” that all just need to be dropped in your plugins folder.
Then follow this to re-url the /groups page to /topics.

I’ve just noticed two problems with this technique, it seems anytime you use a bp-custom.php to accomplish more than one thing at a time, it breaks the entire site, which is always a real bummer.
Secondly, when you go to
/members/membername/topics/my-groups/
it still displays my-groups and I haven’t found a way to change that, and if there is a way it will probably require another bp-custom.php plugin
