Groups & Group Types Issue & Customization

We are working with a website that will be utilizing groups for its members in the Commercial Real Estate industry. The Group Types are not functioning and we can’t add group types to the site. There is no way to save the information after input.
Secondarily, can we customize the naming for the groups tab on the member profiles view?
