Groups permalinks or slugs
-
I’m using WordPress 3.7.1., bbPress 2.4.1., BuddyPress 1.8.1 with the Salutation theme by Parallelus 2.0.9. Site: http://www.tafaforum.com/
I’m frustrated with the permalinks or slugs that show up when sharing links from our groups. We have an active private Facebook group where I often post links to the groups on where our members should do such and such, but the links all look the same.
For example:
Accessories Group’s permalink: http://www.tafaforum.com/user-groups/accessories/Accessories Group’s Forum link: http://www.tafaforum.com/user-groups/accessories/forum/
The forum is a bbpress function, right?
A forum topic in the accessories group: http://www.tafaforum.com/user-groups/accessories/forum/topic/tutorials/
Those all look very nice and fine. But, if you go into the edit mode of the page, the permlink for the group is: http://www.tafaforum.com/user-groups/
It is the same for all of the groups. Why? It’s very hard to share info and not have it pull snippets like normal web pages.
I looked for a plugin that would fix this and did not find anything. Any tips? I do have the SEO by Yoast plugin installed and could change the permalink for each group manually, but what about all of the topics and new info posted? That would be a major pain to try to control.
