Having a problem with theme compatibility

  • resun

Hi, I have just installed Buddypress. I am using the theme K-BOOM-v1.0.2 and I have tirelessly searched the forums to solve my problem. Basically there is no sidebar and the plug in I have on the page sits under the buddypress. Here is my website
It is not on the first page, only when you go and edit your profile and stuff. I have a feeling it has something to do with the structure of the index.php, page.php, sidebar.php and footer.php. files.I am not good with HTML I cant match the structure of the Footer-buddypress.php, headder-buddypress.php and the sidebar-buddypress.php files.
    Anyhelp would be much appreciated.
Here is the code from my pages.

    Thanks in advance 🙂

But did you check through the codex where there is extensive documentation to help guide you through the template re-factoring required in step 3 of the process?.

It would be much better if you could stop the template pack process, remove any files moved to your child theme and instead install the BP beta release of 1.7 along with it’s theme compatibility layer which will be a lot easier to cope with  as that will just require you adjusting styling where necessary.

Hi Hugo, I really am an amateur at this. Excuse me for my ignorance. But you guidance really helped. It is such a relief. Thanks again for the help.
