BuddyPress.org

I have been using buddypress for a while, just as a community application. I would want to take it a bit further by having it run a music sharing community (Social Music & Entertainment Network) – I would want to make my site a platform where emerging artistes can upload their music, have fans listen and have a chart influenced by this listen.

Where fans can log on and listen to tracks from the website, rate if possible.
With a chance for bloggers to get embed code for their platform.

I am trying out a bunch of plug-ins, getting there slowly but would appreciation pointers, opinions, advice incl. guidelines from friends and fellow Buddypressers on here.

I would have a ‘Team’ page on the site where friends who help in realising this – even if just suggesting a plug-in, theme, basic coding et al would be credited as contributing founders – with their profile/blurb on the ‘Team’ page.

That said, I am very new to ‘expanding’ buddypress and what I am trying to achieve is something like – http://www.upbeatapp.com/ (where artistes can upload their songs themselves for streaming and download/buy, fans can listen on the site, bloggers can gete embed code, run a chart from listens and downloads and of course – editorials and a platform that is mobile compatible)
