help , i need to connect 49 buddypress sites on 1 db server

    ok so here it go’s i hope you guys can help me here.

    i have 6 dedicated servers that are gonne run 49 sites with buddypress. i have one dedicated server thats gonne run the mysql databases.

    Now here is my problem , how do i connect all buddypress installations to read out of one database for the user accounts , so that the user accounts are shared on all sites.

    i would like to use the wordpress multisite to admin it all so i think i will install a multisite. the 6 servers are connected togheter , that is something that i was able to do with plesk , the run as one big one.

    i need seperate databases for contents of the sites , and 1 database where the users logins is handled.

    please can somebody help me on this large project , i am realy stuck here ..

    All servers run on Centos 6 & Plesk

    You’re question is more server oriented and a bit over the scope of this support. Anyway….

    You can put different tables in different db on the same server, but how are you going to make WordPress aware of where each table is ?

    In standart usage, multisite with BuddyPress is working with one WP, one DB and one BP plugin and as many sites you want (preferably as sub-domains).

    To manage multiple db’s, try perhaps HyperDB.

    tanx for the answer , indead thats a problem to , i think my best way is to go for multisite and than the db server usage limited to one db , do while it is on a separated server it still offers the full bandwidht of the server to speed up read write on database info , so wenn a lot of users use it at the same time it has a connection of 500 mb to just read the database.. gonne try that , one multisite , on database

    post my sultution or findings wenn i have sett it up.
