help installing BP

Hi, ive got a wordpress site ive been building for my fishing club and ive been trying desperately to put BP on as a plugin. once its downloaded all i keep getting is this message….

Warning: require_once(BACKPRESS_PATH/class.ixr.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/lqtawblz/public_html/Matsac/wp-content/plugins/bpgroups/oci_bb_group_forums.php on line 30

being that im new to all this and dont have a clue can someone please tell me what im doing wrong?

Remove the bpgroups plugin until you get the main site working.

ive removed and reinstalled the plugin several times now and its always the same story?

Then the plugin isn’t compatible with the current version of BP. I’d normally advise you to talk to the author but I know he hasn’t been around for a while.
