Help or maybe just a question

    How can you or better yet is there a way to run a video contest using buddypress? Can the users upload a video and then get rated and voted on? My site is already wpmu/buddypress.bbpress enabled and I am now ready to launch the site. I would like to launch the site with 2 video contest one for dancers and one for basketball players. Is this possible or do I need to get rid of WordPress for this? I love the way wordpress allows us to be able to have a site that is interactive and can post easily everyday and to use other software would be devastating to what we would like to accomplish. Any help will be appreciated and if I posted this in the wrong place I apologize this is my first post asking for help.

    Two options… look into the Kaltura plugin:

    https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-kaltura-media-component/

    Or just search for a regular (non-BuddyPress) WordPress plugin and host the video contest on the main blog (as opposed to living within the social context of BuddyPress).

    Thanks David… do you think since I have wordpress MU that I should just create a separate blog just for the contest? I guess I am asking all the questions that I can so I make the right decision. I really appreciate your help ;-)!!
