Hide add a reply and post new topic for non logged in users

    Hey Guys,

I am fine with public users seeing the content of my site, what I would like to achieve though is hiding the forms for “add a reply:” and “post new topic” in group and forum pages for non logged in users.

How can I achieve that? I know I need to add some code to my functions.php, I appreciate your help

Actually I noticed this should be default BP behavior, and did check my child theme files and they do check if user is logged in (using if is_user_logged_in() ). However for some reason this is getting overriden and the add reply / post new topics forms still show. Any ideas guys?

    Guys,

    Got it, the culprit.

BuddyPress Announce Group <- this plugin was missing things up. Making add a reply and post new topic appear for non logged in users.

    Cheers.

Yep, thanks a lot @dwenaus, that was fast and effective :)

I have updated, reactivated, and works perfectly now.

    Cheers.
