If you added new fields that are optional then you probably ought to have added them to a new group and not the ‘base’ group where all fields show on registration.
Thank you @hnla for you nice reply.
I have just created “New group field” as you described and moved the field created in the base into the new group field, logged out and refresh couple of time, but still the same. I don’t know is refusing to hide, any other suggestion? thanks
You’re not attempting to hide anything, if you have created xprofile field groups other than the default ‘Base’ then anything in those groups for user profile input will not show on the standard BP registration form only on the users account profile screen. If you are following that principle and those fields are showing on the main registration form then something is going wrong and likely you have third party plugins at work?
Yes, thanks I did follow the right procedures, I think plugin is responsible for the problem. Though couple of changes I made; refused to update, sometimes taking a very long time; ever since I updated all script in the systems to the latest version. However, due to couple of impress by me, some changes that I made begins to show up. I would deactivate plugins and Still continue refreshing over and over, hope to get it fixed. Thank you very much for your concern. God bless you.
After several refreshes while doing other things, It automatically updated to show the right thing I wanted, without deactivating any plugin. I don’t still know while updating takes so long. so far am satisfied and consider this topic as resolved. Thanks.
