Homepage isn’t aligning sidebar when static post

I’ve finally got a sort of, somewhat functioning BuddyPress site. I’ve just got a few final annoyances, but the big one is that I went through updating the theme to align properly, which it now does everywhere but the homepage. As you can see, the sidebar is below the page content. Right now the homepage is set to a static page not a blogpost. I’d be willing to set it to ONE blogpost, and make it sticky, but then I can’t figure out how to get the blog part of my website to display more than one blogpost…so I’m guessing the best bet is to figure out how to fix the sidebar when the homepage is a static page. Oh and I’m using Twenty Eleven as my theme.
