Homepage Widgets Not Showing Up…

I am very very excited about this! I have just begun experimenting with BP and I am digging it! I have one small problem, I can’t get the homepage widgets to work. Every time I add one, it never shows up, anywhere.
My testing url is http://www.disabilityactivist.com/blogs/ I am not using the sub domain option, just the sub directory one. Any help would be great!
