Hello,
1. How can I prevent users from seeing all the activities, I want user to see all the activities of his friends and following only.
2. Determine the type of activities watched, where are displayed only updates members.

you can filter the activity stream. Read here:

Using bp_parse_args() to filter BuddyPress template loops

You’ll also find many snippets on the forum by searching for “_parse_args”.

Updates are an activity type ! This is already available in the activity filter.
