How do I create a list of users based on specific extended profile criteria?

I’d like to create a widget user list that is populated based on a selection in their extended profile. For example, how would I create a list of all Male users (let’s say the widget is titled “ALL MALE USERS”), if Male/Female was an option for them to select at sign in?
