How Future Proof Are Buddypress Themes ?

    I am interested in purchasing a premium theme. Its not a lot of money, but to be entitled to upgrades you have to pay a monthly fee. That doesnt sit easy with me as most developers give free upgrades. Its a bit of a licence to print money.

    So how future proof are buddypress themes ?

    Feature-proof until we add a new screen or function in the core code. If your theme is a child theme of BP-Default, then it’ll automatically get those updates, otherwise they’d have to be added. I think you’re probably safe for the next few months at least.
