How to add Activity Stream to home.php or widget area

Hi, I’d like to add the Activity Stream to my homepage and display the the most recent blog posts above it.
If possible, I’d like to have both in a widget area. I’ve used the sitewide activity widget (which is great) successfully,
but there is no reply option. Please let me know if this is possible. Do I just include the bp-activity.php file somewhere?
I’m pretty new to this so please go easy on me : ) . THANKS!

The code for the activity loop may be placed in the index.php page. Make sure you add the loop with the commenting enabled.

Awesome Thanks LPH2005! I got it working for the most part. Just tweaking some things. Do you know how to include the activity post form with or without the sort dropdown?
