How to add field under memeber name in memeber widget

I trying to add the group name or custom filed name under Full Name in member widget in the homepage?
For example http://etipsguru.com/
Under Robin Rodrigues I need to add the group name he belongs to
any help? tried Andy’s suggestion in previous thread <?php echo bp_get_field_data( $field_name, $user_id ) ?>
but gives error
