How to Allow Users to Set up a Blog on Secondary Multi-Site
-
I’m currently running two websites on the same network as we’re in the process of rebranding B-TEN (www.b-ten.com) as Current Digital Magazine (www.currentdigitalmag.com). GoDaddy is the host, so I had to use WordPress MU Domain Mapping to create a multi-site, with B-TEN being the primary site on the network. Now, with Current Digital, I want to integrate a social-centric element (which is why I installed BuddyPress), but I’d like for users of the site to be able to create their own blogs within Current Digital.
Now, I know that you can easily set it up in WordPress for users to add their own subdomains, which is exactly what I want to do. However, it seems to only allow for http://www.subdomain.b-ten.com with no visible option for allowing users to add http://www.subdomain.currentdigitalmag.com sites. With very little experience in this kind of work, how do you suggest I go about doing this? If this has already been addressed, please feel free to let me know. Unfortunately, any support I’ve found on this issue is beyond my understanding.
