I’m using 3.5.1 and 1.6.4(1.6.5 crashed)and was wondering how would i add a facebook style cover on the my site.

What exactly do you mean by a facebook cover? Do you mean a landing page? If so try this tutorial by Patrick Cohen:

Sorry for the confusion but I am not Patrick. He is the author for the link I provided. I am still confused as to what your requirement is so please provide more details.

Sorry for that bphelp. If you’re on facebook>profile, you have a small picture and a cover photo behind it.I wanted to be able to have users add a photo behind their profile picture. something like this. http://freeprofilecover.com/top-55-creative-facebook-profile-covers

If not its going to require some custom coding.
