How to fix Activations

So I installed Buddypress through the use of theme BlackFyre for wordpress. The issue I’m having is that after installing Buddypress, I had to create a blank Registration and Activate pages for Buddypress to associate those pages and work.

But now, when I test it, when a user creates an account, they do not receive an email with the information to log in, and they cannot activate their accounts. How do I fix this?

I’d first try unloading any other plugins, and switch to the 2015 theme to see if that fixes it.

On my install the emails themselves just work (Do other notification emails get there?) but there is a possibility that you may have to set up the emails if this is a first time install.

    – Make sure email is working from WordPress.
    – Tell users to check their spam folder.

If that doesn’t work, some have had success with the following plugin(s):
    – Mail From: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?type=term&q=mail+from
    – A plugin that sends email via SMTP instead of PHP: https://wordpress.org/plugins/tags/smtp

How do I set emails for the first time or make sure they are working? I don’t know. I don’t really know if the activate page is working because it’s blank

Di you set up the pages in Admin>>Settings>BuddyPress>>Pages

If so they should not be blank

So, as far as I understand, you need to create two blank pages, one for register and one for activate, and after associating them, buddy press recreates the content. That’s done, users can register. now the problem is, they are not receiving activate emails, or emails at all after the registration, so i don’t know how to fix the activation issue I’m having.

Follow what I mentioned above regarding the email plugins.

Do some tests by registering some accounts yourself to see if you receive any activation emails.
