how to get to site admin/dashboard

Hi, I’m a newbie in buddypress world. I’m using WP 2.9.2 and BP 1.2.

At the front page, unless I put the meta widget on the sidebar, I can’t find a link to go back to the admin site. So I add a link to the site admin. But I think it will be confusing for new user who want to post a new blog.

If i put the meta widget then there will be two login form on the front page, it just doesn’t look good, I think.

Here is my test site http://stecemu.weinandy.net

Thanks in advance for your input :)

top of the page, in the navbar, “My Blogs”… select the main blog, and you will have a link to the dashboard

I don’t see it in my WP. Oh I forget to mention that I use the single/normal WP not WPMU.

To log into your WP dashboard, even if you have no links to it in your theme, simply enter this in your browser’s address bar:

Works every time… hope it helps!

Thank you, I use that link, but for other members that is confusing. As I mentioned, I add that link on the sidebar. But still I think there must be another/better solution for this.

As work around you can use the plugin widget “Mini Meta Widget”. You are able to set up direct links to the admin functions like post edit, add new post, manage media gallery etc. It is working where ever you can place a widget – of course normally the sidebar menu.
