How to remove Join button from group header?

Hi, i try this code in function.php:
remove_action( ‘bp_group_header_actions’, ‘bp_group_join_button’ );

It doesn’t work… why?

possible hooking the remove_action prior that that action being added

or hide with css:

.join-group { display:none; }
