How to show user profile information in search results

I am creating a directory of site members using Buddypress Version 12.5.0. I am not a developer but I know how to add php snippets via a plugin or via the functions php file for buddyx theme.Currently, the users show up in the directory with just their profile picture and username. Ideally they would show the user’s full name (first and last name) rather than a username or nickname. I would also like to show a portion of their profile information, such as the first line/140 characters of their bio and/or the answers to a certain number of fields such as location, gender, or whatever fields I add.
Is there a way to do this?
