BuddyPress.org

I have a bbPress/BuddyPress discussion forum website. I use bbPress for discussion forums and BuddyPress for creation of public/private/hidden groups. The focus of the site is on forums (both general forums and group forums). However, when the users go to groups, they see the default activity tab first. They think they use a group forum and they try to use it like a forum. When somebody creates a group forum topic, the message from the topic appears in activities. Other users try to comment on this activity, but it is impossible, because it is just an alert for the new forum topic, not a regular activity post. This is confusing for some users.

Is there any way to set the forum tab default, or even better to turn off the activity tab, so that when the user visits the group, he/she would see the group forum tab and not the activities tab?
