How users can link to their profile

Is there a way that user’s can link to their profile…something like:
mydomain.com/user/johnsmith or mydomain.com/profile/johnsmith

hi @nnyorker,
use bp_get_loggedin_user_link()

For example
echo '<li><a href="'. bp_get_loggedin_user_link() .'">View my profile</a></li>';
