I can’t seem to access my wp-admin dashboard after I activate BuddyPress. (MAMP Pro)

There’s an error right after I activate the plugin either after the installation wizard or after deactivating it via changing its filename.

    I’ve tried:

    1) Increasing the php.ini memory allocation

    2) Changing mod_rewrite in the httpd.conf file from:

    Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
    AllowOverride None

    To

    Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
    AllowOverride All

    3. I’ve also tried changing my hosts file to be able to run http://localhost:8888 from http://local.dev:8888 because I heard that WPMU has issues with the former URL.

Does anyone else have this problem? I’ve installed BuddyPress online before via a web host and I never had any problems. Is this happening because I’m hosting it locally on my machine?
