Images in BuddyPress

Hi guys, I have just started using Buddypress and I’m amazed at how well it is executed, great job.

However, I am trying to build a website that is more–less revolved around photographs and videos, and it seems to me that this aspect is completely left out of BuddyPress, or am I wrong?

Basically what I would like to have is:

    * Users being able to attach an image or a video to a forum post (or embed it from a third–party site)

    * Users being able to have their gallery

For the first issue I have installed the excellent oEmbed plugin and it certainly takes care of the videos, but images are still a problem because oEmbed only recognizes Flickr–hosted images.

Regarding the second issue—I am mostly interested in a plugin that would add photo gallery functionality to each user. If there is no such plugin around, do you think it is possible to develop one? I am willing to pay someone to do it, I just need someone to tell me if it’s possible. I am a web designer, so I would be able to provide full documentation and frontend code and templates, but when it comes to PHP, I’m basically lost after echo date(‘m/d/Y’); lol.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

    PS

I am using a regular WordPress install, not MU and would like to keep it that way.

There’s already a solution for number 2 of your list (not sure if it works with stand alone wp).

For problem one you could just make a simple bbparser, but since your not a coder, you’ll have to wait till a coder needs it too. :)

Thanks so Xevo, I will definitely try it out as it seems to be exactly what I need.

@draganbabic please let me know if that solution worked for you I am working on a site similar to what you are doing in terms of function.

I would gladly, however I see that they only accept PayPal as a payment option, which I sadly don’t have.
