Inline photo and video upload?

    Is their such an option i tried buddypress media but does not do it inline, is their anyway to enable photo and video upload while posting an update?

    Also is their an option to collapse comments?

    well you can use oEmbeds without any modification or added plugins this also has the benefit of not burdening your own server with an unknown amount of data.
