BuddyPress.org

Hello
I am wondering if I can use buddypress to have an art gallery for members to post art of all kinds, music, pics, and video, and sell it from their profile using pay pal or anything else. Can buddypress handle all kinds of interactivity like this? Also, does buddypress have its own membership functionality or should I use a membership plugin that works with buddypress?
