Is it 'bp-themes' or 'themes'?

Hi. Fresh install of 1.1 on a fresh install of WPMU 2.8.4a. The install docs say:

Head to [wpmu-dir]/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/ and move the directories “bp-default” and “bp-sn-parent” to the folder [wpmu-dir]/wp-content/themes/.

but there is a red warning dialog on the General settings page that says the following:

You do not have any BuddyPress themes installed.

Please move the default BuddyPress themes to their correct location (move C:\xampp\htdocs/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/ to C:\xampp\htdocs/wp-content/bp-themes/) and reload this page. You can download more themes here.

So which is correct? WPMU doesn’t see them in ‘bp-themes’ so I moved them to ‘themes’ and that appears to work OK now. Just not sure what else might depend on this.

    Thanks!

The first is correct, once you activate the bp-default theme you will no longer see this warning message, it is simply for backwards compatibility. Make sure you do not have a /wp-content/bp-themes/ directory.

perhaps instead of giving everyone that big error, the message could be changed to tell them to place themes in the theme folder and to activate a buddypress theme.

    I still don’t understand this.

I’ve placed /bp-default/ and /bp-sn-parent/ in root/wp-content/themes. Nothing happens. I’ve activated the themes in site admin. Still a red box telling me to put things in bp-themes instead. I’ve also done that but that doesn’t do any good.

Can anyone explain this to me?
