Is it possible to add an image before all the posts on the posts page?

Afternoon,
I am trying to add a JPEG to the top of my posts page – a sort of header for that page. This is purely for aesthetic reasons but it seems to be more difficult than I assumed. Does anyone have any tips or advice on hos to acheive this?
