I’d like to link to a good guide for site users (not admins) with simple instructions on using the basic features of Buddypress. Everything I find when Googling is “how to install buddypress”…stuff intended for site admins.

is there a good online guide for site users that explains using Buddypress basic site functionality?

Not aware of any. Problem is, each site is different, so I can’t see how one guide can apply to many sites.
