I have got BP up and running to an extent but I have a bunch of little bugs that need cleaning up:

1. It does not seem the home page theme is working correctly, it looks just like a plain blog. I have only the Buddypress-home theme enabled, in Admin-> themes.

2. All blogs from different users have (Admin) next to them.

3. When you are actually in the member settings(profile, wire etc), directory buttons(news, members, blogs) to the upper right side of the screen give me a variation of

“To enable the blog directory you must drop the “plugin-template.php” file into your theme directory.” errors.

I tried copying them there but it did not work and I found a couple version of the needed files so I did not know which one to put in the themes dir.

1 and 3 are fix, I had activated the theme but not selected it, Doh.

2. I think I see what you’re talking about. Anytime someone makes a new blog it says something like, “Test Blog (Admin)” from the drop down admin bar?

I wish that (Admin) would just be the username of the member instead of “Admin”…

I had to lol since I never noticed #2 before as I was logged in with “admin” With these little bugs, make sure you log them at https://trac.buddypress.org/newticket

HaHa, I didn’t know if it was a bug or just me not configuring something correctly. I will submit a ticket.

The (admin) thing is the role that user plays on that blog. A user may have multiple roles on different blogs. It annoyed me too so I took it out.

/bp-core/bp-core-adminbar.php line #137, $role, get rid of it. I was hoping somebody would complain about it.

Thanks for the $role tip, it was bothering me too and I just hadn’t looked for it yet.
