log in trouble

I’ve read a couple threads on this but am having trouble understanding. I am using a localhost to learn the software before I launch my site. When I try to log in another user it returns to the login page and the person is not logged in. If i put in the URL for members/membername it tells me this person has been flagged as spam. Sorry I can’t be more clear but I’m pretty new at this.

Ok i may have answered my own question. I tried it again and it says I need to confirm by an email it sends. can it send an email from localhost or can I find the opt in url somewhere else?

Emails being sent from localhost mostly depends on your computer configuration and, most importantly, your internet service provider’s server. A workaround which I use is a plugin simliar to https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/
