Are you using any plugins aside from BuddyPress? If so what happens when they are removed?
Also do you have perhaps a link to your site and can you look in your error logs for PHP if you can even ask your hosting company about that?
One final check is that you are using PHP 5 on your server?
Since this was a new site, and I couldn’t resolve the issue above, I trashed and reinstalled wordpress and buddypress. Therefore, it’s all a new install and there are no plug-ins other than what came with wordpress. Still I’m having the same problem!!
