I am trying to set up an alumni site for the dance company I work for.

We are using groups to help people to interact and have enabled group forums. We are not using site wide forums as this may be confusing to our users.

All members must register and get approved to use the site.

I am looking for a way to make all groups public to registered users but not visible to just anyone that comes along. Right now, with Groups set to PUBLIC, when I log out I can still see all group activity.

Is there a way to do this? I don’t want to set each Group to PRIVATE – which I understand to mean that each new group member must be approved before joining.

I’d like all groups to be visible to all signed in users, but if someone isn’t signed in they wouldn’t be able see any Group activity.

Any help would be very much appreciated!
