%member% joined the group %group% disappeared from bp-1.2.7?

I noticed this, from buddypress 1.2.7, or (could be 1.2.6 too) that when somebody joins a group, it no longer shows up in the group’s activity stream.
“member” joined the group “groupname” This 100% disappeared, how do I get it back?
