Member Privacy – Limiting to 'Buddies' Only?

We are in the testing phases of a social-networking/dating site hybrid: Opposites Do

I would like to set it up so that only a member’s profile is visible until they become a ‘friend’. Kind of similar to FB’s privacy only this wouldn’t be optional but would rather be site wide.

Also we want it set so that members can’t send messages to each other or post on their wires until they are ‘friends’

(PS I moved this to a support issue, but I don’t know if that’s the right place for it…)

I am looking for the same set-up for my website.

Please let us know what needs to be done to achieve this.

Will JeffÂ´s “Privacy-Plugin” able to achieve these features ?

Privacy component is planned for 1.2. It’s better to ask questions on the privacy component topic than here.
