Message all Group Members

Does anyone know of any solutions currently available to enable messaging (via email) all members of a Group in BP1.2? This had been possible using a wire update in 1.1. My only thought is to use the forums paired with either Forum Post Notification or Group Forum Subscription.

Any other thoughts? I wonder if we will be able to “email blast” activity stream updates again at some point?

I thought about a workaround, because the wire (with the messaging option) is gone in 1.2 (and I still don’t know., what Andy has up his sleeves for a replacement…
.What about that: Everybody still gets an email, when the Admin (or Mod?) writes a Latest-News-Update. But in the mail it just mentions that there is an update… It would make alot of sense to me, if the members would get the whole content of the update per email.
What do you think – would that be enough?
I think we need something a little more robust. For our purposes at least, we would like it so that all group members receive updates via email pretty much whenever anyone does anything. I’m sure that would be a nightmare for others though
Yeah, sorry, I was suggesting that you don’t use anything in the vain hope that we get a nice solution soon
If it doesn’t get put into core it will definitely be something that I’m looking at quite soon. Once we’ve got the groupwiki stuff out of the door.
