Message redirection issue

Wanted to report this which I’m pretty sure is a bug.
Whenever I’m on a friend’s profile, regardless of which friend (e.g. http://randomcatastrophe.com/members/athf1980/), and I click to send a message to that friend I always get redirected to this page.
http://randomcatastrophe.com/members/ctrowbridge/messages/compose/?r=mdanger
I am still able to enter my other friend’s username into the box but then the message gets sent to both of them.
If I click on “compose” then the correct page comes up with the username field blank.
I’m using WP 2.9.2, the latest version of Buddypress and the default Buddypress theme.
