Most Links on my site redirect to homepage

    BuddyPress 1.1 (clean install)

    Directory URLs, not subdomain

I just installed buddypress last night, and it installed and seems to be working… somewhat.

When I go to visit just about any page (only one I have found that works right so far is to blog page) it shows the url path when hovering correctly, but then redirects me to the homepage of my bp install. I can’t seem to figure out what is going on.

    Thanks for any help

I have the same problem with 1.1. Only the blog and Forum links seem to work. I have other pre 1.1 installs that work fine.

What are your permalinks set to?

Is WPMU installed in its own subdirectory also? I.E. http://domain.com/wpmu/ ?

Do you have a .htaccess file located in the root of your WPMU installation?

Does your server/web host have mod_rewrite turned on? (This is hopefully yes)

Hey guys, if you have the folder bp-themes in the /wp-content directory, rename it or delete it. See if that helps.

We have the same problem. I think, it’s a problems with the nice-names in the profil of WordPress MU. If the username (for example:timschmi) and the nice-name are the same, there is no problem. If the nice-name is different (for example:timschmidt) buddypress will link to timschmidt and not to timschmi. You can see it if you roll over the links.
