    Is it possible to move a post from one blog to another, provided that user has at least contributor rights on both blogs?

    This is a WPMU question so you need to look at their forums to see if this is possible.

    Try FeedWordPress and get the posts using RSS Feeds. You do not need contributor rights etc.
