Multiple groups and members directories

How do you create multiple directories of groups and members? So for example domain.com/groups/ domain.com/factions/ etc. The only website example I could find was the BNP but they have groups and events both are group directories using BuddyPress. How have they done that?

e.g. http://bnp.org.uk/groups/ and http://bnp.org.uk/events/

You need to create a custom page template, then add the members or groups loop to that page. You can the only show specific groups. Right now there are no categories or tags, so you will have to specify.

Haven’t tried it yet. The problem I see is that I will have groups with all of my groups and then say for example events or courses but those will also be viewable inside of the groups area as they will be part of it.
